Húsvéti sonka is a traditional Hungarian boneless Easter ham from prime cuts of pork leg, cured and oak smoked for an intense aroma and rich meaty texture.

Cooking recommendation:

Before cooking, let the ham soak overnight.

Place in cold water, boil, and cook for 15-20 minutes. Drain and replace the cooking water, then add one peeled brown onion, 2-3 dried bay leaves, and 5-6 black peppercorns. Let it simmer on low heat until the meat is soft and tender. Let it cool inside the saucepan. Afterwards, you can use this water to prepare delicious hard-boiled eggs.
